Your profile page gathers everything personal: identity and verification status, editable account details, up to five profile photos with an adjust-and-decorate editor, and password management. It is also where the account-level theme and accent color live. This page walks through each section in the order the page presents it.

The hero card
The top of the page shows your avatar (the primary profile photo, or an initial), your username, and your contact details. Chips summarize your security posture at a glance: Email verified and Phone verified (green) once the corresponding codes were confirmed, and Password on or No password telling you which login factors are active. System alerts below the card confirm saves and surface errors for a few seconds.
Account details
Pressing Edit profile unlocks the form; Save changes writes it, Cancel restores it. The fields:
| Field | Behavior |
| --- | --- |
| Username | Editable — your handle across the platform and the messenger |
| Email | Read-only once verified; the helper says "Verified — contact support to change" |
| Phone number | Read-only once verified, same policy |
| Birthdate | A date picker capped at today |
| Theme preference | Light or Dark, saved on your account (distinct from the browser theme toggle) |
| Accent color | The palette for your account — Default, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Orange, Pink, Teal, Indigo, Gray, Black, White |
:::tip
Verified contact details are the keys to password recovery and username recovery — keeping at least one of them current and verified is what keeps you from being locked out.

Profile photos
You can have up to five profile photos; the first is your primary avatar everywhere. Photos are managed as a sortable card grid — drag to reorder (long-press on touch), press to preview, delete with the trash icon, and drop a new image on the desktop drop zone. The caption explains the contract: "Order is assigned automatically. The #1 photo is set as primary."
New photos pass through the Adjust & Decorate Photo dialog:
:::steps
• Position the photo
Drag it on the canvas — circular by default — and use the Zoom slider (1–4×) and Rotation slider (−180° to 180°).
• Decorate
Add Emoji / Icon picks one of eighteen presets; the Emoji size slider scales it, and a delete control removes it.
• Crop and apply
Toggle Circular crop if you want a square output, then Apply — the edits bake into the uploaded image.

:::note
The messenger maintains its own photo set with its own visibility rules (Everyone / Contacts only / Nobody / Specific users) — see [messenger.md](messenger.md). Account photos here are the platform-wide identity.

Password & security
The last section manages the password factor of your account. The status line tells you where you stand — "A password is set. You can change or remove it." or "No password yet. Set one if you want password login in addition to code login."
